At Independent Life Care Services, Inc., we strive to maximize the quality of life for adults with developmental disabilities so they can live their lives as freely and independently as possible.

ABOUT
Independent Life Care Services, Inc. provides Supported Living Services (SLS), Independent Living Services (ILS), and Parenting Support Services to adults with developmental disabilities in their own homes.
We support an individual’s independence and empowerment to maximize opportunities and choices for living, working, learning, and recreation in their communities.

OUR SERVICES
Supported Living Services (SLS), Independent Living Services (ILS), and Parenting Support Services are available to adults with developmental disabilities who receive services from the Regional Center of Orange County (RCOC) and want to live independently in their own home.
*The guiding principles of Supported Living Services are established in Section 4689(a) of the Lanternman Act. The California Department of Developmental Services regulations for SLS are found in Title 17, Division 2, Chapter 3, Subchapter 19 (Sections 58600 et seq) of the California Code of Regulations (CCR).
SUPPORT SERVICES
Supported Living Services empowers individuals to live independently in their own homes, with support tailored to their needs available whenever necessary.
It supports the person's right to make fundamental life decisions while providing guidance and assistance in managing the outcomes of those choices.
The approach fosters the development of significant and lasting relationships, allows individuals the freedom to choose their living arrangements, and grants them control over the customization and ambiance of their living spaces.

ASSISTING INDIVIDUALS TO:
Common daily activities such as meal prep, planning, shopping, cooking, & storage.
Acquiring, using, & caring for canine & other animal companions specifically trained to provide assistance
Acquiring household furnishings
Managing personal financial affairs
Asserting civil & statutory rights through self-advocacy
Performing routine household activities aimed at maintaining a clean & safe home
Selecting & moving into a home
Settling disputes with landlords
Recruiting, screening, hiring, training, supervising, & dismissing personal attendants
Building & maintaining interpersonal relationships, including a Circle of Support
Locating and scheduling appropriate medical services
Locating & choosing suitable house mates
Being aware of & effectively using the transportation, police, fire, & emergency help available.
Dealing with & responding appropriately to governmental agencies and personnel
Participating in community life
24-hour emergency assistance, including direct service in response to calls for assistance. This service also includes assisting and facilitating the consumer's efforts to acquire, use, and maintain devices needed to summon immediate assistance when threats to health, safety, and well-being occur.
Methods of service delivery will vary with each individual; services and supports will change as individuals change. Ongoing assessments and evaluations will be made to identify the individual's changing needs and dreams.
